Many years ago, the Minnesota Inline Skate Club (MISC) had a general newsletter called MILES (Minnesota Inline E Mail System) for skating news.
Rather than reviving it as a mailing list, we are bringing it back as a blog.

This will allow you to post your own comments about the blog items. If you have something that you think should start a new blog item, feel free to send it to info@SkateMinnesota.org.

This list is intended to keep non club members updated on things that are happening that affects skating in Minnesota and for club members to find previous items that have gone out in the club members email.

We will be developing some keywords to help you find older items by part of the state and by type of news item (Metro, North East, Central, West, South, equipment, trails, events, weird, etc).

If you want to be notified when new items appear (probably a couple times a week after we get older items entered), you can use an RSS feed or set up an email alert using www.changedetection.com/monitor.html
That is the system I use to get new items for the lists.

We now have a blog where we can post updates on upcoming club events. We can also post pictures of past club events and do other fun stuff.

I'll start. We have a progressive dinner on skates planned for this evening, Saturday, August 8, at 6:30 PM in downtown Minneapolis. Actually, at the moment, that plan is up in the air. The weather forecast has a strong chance of thunderstorms, so we're trying to figure out whether we should proceed as planned, carpool instead of skate, or reschedule. Check your e-mail for further details.
